Panorama’s Opening: Lots of Music, Games and Art

Impressive fireworks, a special Tabami project, games, competitions, and fashion shows – is how the new Panorama shopping and leisure centre, which opened Friday, greeted Vilnius during the entire weekend dedicated to its opening. The new attraction invited fans of jazz, fashion, games, and cinema, as well as enthusiasts of stylish clothing shops and new leisure activities. 140 thousand visitors visited the centre during the opening weekend.

“We are delighted that the colourful programme dedicated to Panorama’s opening attracted our visitors. We offer new opportunities and entertainment, which is why the opening weekend was full of unusual, non-traditional events comprising various types of performances. We’re happy that our visitors enjoyed them,” Panorama Director Raimondas Bureika said.

The first Panorama visitors were greeted on Friday evening by the special The Panoramic City project presented by the creative Tabami team. The authors of the project invited the audience to feel the spirit of the world’s capitals and to see the various faces of Vilnius in a synthesis of different musical styles and cultures.

The members of Skamp along with other well-known Lithuanian performers helped the audience to find themselves in the lively and colourful centre of the musical world. The Tabami project received an ovation, followed by colourful fireworks dedicated to the opening of the centre.

Visitors who came to Panorama on Saturday morning were welcomed by the percussionists of the Drum Party project led by Gediminas Laurinavičius, who demonstrated their skills on the centre’s main stage. Young visitors to the centre took an active part in the various competitions, games, and drawing lessons that were held until evening inside and near children’s shops. Lingerie shop visitors enjoyed the creations of skin drawing masters. Table game lovers competed in the Pegasas bookshop, while fans of classical movies watched some good old films in the Small Panorama Cinema.

At midday, visitors saw the energetic lindy hop dancers, followed by a fashion show and a performance by the Vilnius jazz quintet Intermezzo. In the evening, everybody gathered near the stage to see the interactive musical performance named Opening by the step band Show Makers.

An impressive musical cocktail awaited visitors in the evening of the second day. The youth city fashion show accompanied by modern music and dances was followed by the lively performance of InCulto. The stylish classical City collection was presented accompanied by the MTV award-winning Happyendless music. This stylish and dynamic evening programme was the culmination of Panorama’s opening events, which snapped Vilnius out of its autumn daze and helped residents to see in an original way the new centre’s modern shopping and leisure vision.

Panorama offers over 170 shopping and service outlets – 140 clothing, shoe, and other shops, as well as over 20 restaurants and cafes. Panorama, located in the Žvėrynas quarter in T. Narbuto Street, presents new haut couture shops Guess and Ralph Lauren, elegant everyday clothing shops Tom Tailor, EDC, JBC Fashion, and PTA, Parfois and Mango Touch accessories shops, Jockey lingerie shop, and Lloyd footwear shop.
