Elemental Business Centre has signed a lease agreement with Rimi Latvia

Elemental Business Centre, the upcoming office building complex in the Skanste neighbourhood, has signed a lease agreement with Rimi Latvia. The city centre concept Rimi Mini store will open its doors on the first floor of the office building this autumn, when the entire office complex is completed.

Elemental Business Centre Sales Manager Imants Krēsliņš says that the Rimi Mini store will be relevant not only for the residents of the office building complex, but also for the residents of the Skanste neighbourhood. “Our goal is to offer tenants not only top-class office space, but also top-class services in and around the building. The location of a food retail store in office building complexes has become a standard that serves as part of the business centre’s positioning. We see Rimi Latvia as a forward-looking and development-oriented company with high quality standards, therefore we are pleased that the city centre concept Rimi Mini store will open its doors on the first floor of “Elemental Business Centre”. We are confident that the store will be able to meet the needs of our tenants with its diverse range of products and on-site service. Currently there is no store in the immediate vicinity of the office building complex, therefore the opening of Rimi Mini will be a long-awaited event for the residents of Skanste neighbourhood as well,” says I. Krēsliņš.

The total area of Rimi Mini will be 310 m2, of which 200 m2 will be allocated to the sales hall. Rimi Latvia representatives indicate that this will be the eleventh Rimi Mini city centre concept store in Riga. The store will be especially intended for busy city residents, who will appreciate quick and convenient shopping and an assortment of goods and services specially tailored for them.

“For several years now, we have seen that the Skanste neighbourhood is rapidly developing as one of the most modern office and residential districts in Riga. Since it is important for us to be where our customers are, the opening of the new Rimi Mini store in Skanste seemed obvious. All the more so in the Elemental Business Centre building, where the store’s doors will be open to everyone – both office workers who will be able to save time for daily shopping, as well as residents and guests of Skanste neighbourhood. When choosing cooperation partners, it is important for us that their values and standards meet the prerequisites of Rimi Latvia, therefore we are happy to cooperate with such a sustainably minded partner as Elemental Business Centre”, says Māris Gailīts, Rimi Latvia Real Estate and Expansion Director.

Elemental Business Centre is a new office project at Skanstes Street 25, Riga, with a leasable area of 21,000 m2 across two ten-storey buildings. The project is currently under construction and the buildings will be commissioned this fall. The project is on track to receive the BREEAM Outstanding rating, thus becoming the first building in Latvia with the highest possible evaluation. Energy piles are used in the construction, which will provide up to 72% of the heating and cooling needs of the building, significantly reducing the costs of utilities for tenants.
