Esteemed Master Chef Vladislav Djatšuk’s restaurant VõiVõi is to open in the Arter quarter

The new restaurant VoiVõi, offering flavours inspired by the food cultures of Europe, is opening for all Tallinners in the new and emerging Arter quarter in the heart of Tallinn.

“The Arter quarter is the newest meeting place in the heart of Tallinn, which is located in the very heart of the city and is open to all city residents. From the very beginning, our aim has been to create an environment where our guests can have a good time. That is why we are also building eateries in the quarter that offer taste sensations and a cosy atmosphere for the citizens, people working in the quarter and tourists”, explains Allan Remmelkoor, Project Director for the Arter quarter.

One of the new eateries in Arter will be the esteemed Master Chef Vladislav Djatšuk’s VõiVõi. “Master Chef Vladislav Djatšuk is one of Estonia’s top professionals and restaurant founders. He has previous experience in how to create a well-functioning symbiosis between a business quarter and a restaurant. We believe that his food art perfectly complements our concept”, states Remmelkoor.

VõiVõi is a fusion of deli, bar, restaurant and live fire cooking with a menu inspired by different European cuisines. “We aim to create a restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, offering a menu based on high-quality ingredients, catering to all possible tastes. At the heart of the restaurant is food prepared over an open fire, with a selection that includes meat but fish and vegetable dishes, too”, says chef and owner Vladislav Djatšuk, explaining the restaurant’s concept.

In Djatšuk’s words, his cuisine is characterised by how the purity and simplicity of flavours create a “wow!” effect in the guests. “Estonian restaurant culture is very demanding – Estonians value high-quality food and service. That is why our focus is on sustainable ingredients. When we prepare food, the raw ingredients are mostly farm produce and of Estonian origin. In addition, up to 80% of the ingredients are organic and grown specifically for our restaurant”, says Djatšuk.

VõiVõi will open on the first floor of Arter in November this year. The 400 sq m restaurant can seat up to 115 people at once. You can choose between a simpler lunch menu and an à la carte dinner menu.

Arter’s Project Director adds that a modern office building is much more than just office space. “People spend a large part of their waking hours at work, which is why it is important to create a comprehensive and pleasant working environment that includes open recreation areas, cafes, restaurants and various services. We believe that eateries offering healthy and varied food are an integral part of a modern urban space, bringing visitors to the quarter even in the evenings and on weekends”, Remmelkoor explains.

Vladislav Djatšuk is also the owner of the Mon Repos, Päris and Orangerie restaurants and a brand chef. He has represented Estonia in the world-famous Bocuse d’Or competition multiple times. Djatšuk was also Executive Chef at the restaurant Tchaikovsky and the private chef to the Ambassador at the Belgian Embassy. In addition, Djatšuk has been responsible for the catering at the Republic of Estonia’s Anniversary Reception, collaborated with Stockmann and Kaubamaja and organised Dinner in the Sky events in Estonia, Finland and Lithuania.

The Arter quarter is located in the centre of Tallinn and consists of two office buildings and one apartment hotel building. At 28 storeys, the tallest of these is also the tallest office building in Estonia. The quarter’s centre is a first-class working environment that combines office spaces with several catering establishments, a sports club and swimming pool, beauty services, convenient parking, a city park, and good public transport connections. The total area of the quarter is 77,000 sq m and provides workspaces for up to 2,500 people.

The Arter quarter was designed by the architect Martin Aunin, with interior design by Arhitekt11. The main contractor for the project is Merko Ehitus Eesti. These nearly-zero-energy buildings are designed and constructed to meet the Excellent rating of the international BREEAM standard for sustainable buildings.

The entire project will be completed in the third quarter of 2024, including the city park, the new Veski Street and the renovated section of Imanta Street, which will ensure safe and peaceful traffic around the quarter.
