Iveta Priedīte becomes the Managing Director of shopping centres Spice and Spice Home
On March 17 of this year, Iveta Priedīte was appointed the Managing Director and board member of the Spice and Spice Home shopping centres, taking over the duties from Marie Vaino.
„Past few years have been very challenging for many business sectors, especially retail. I am very grateful to Marie Vaino, who as the representative of the shareholder of Spice and Spice Home, accepted our proposal and has been successfully managing the shopping centres for the past six months. Our recruitment process to find a local manager has been completed and I am very glad that Iveta Priedīte will start as the new Managing Director,” said Taavi Ojala, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Spice complex.
“Both shopping centres are important destinations for inhabitants and visitors of Riga together with people living in the neighboring areas. Iveta Priedīte has a long and very professional career in Latvian retail sector, and I am sure her experience will enhance the shopping experience of our customers,” continues Taavi Ojala.
Iveta Priedīte has 15 years of experience in one of the largest retail companies Narvesen Baltija, where she has held the position of both retail and development director. Iveta also has seven years of experience in managing such well-known shopping centres as Rīga Plaza and Galerija Centrs.
“The Covid-19 pandemic and the associated constraints have created more than one challenge for the retail industry, which can be seen in both changes in demand and changes in shopping habits. Spice is currently in a time of great changes, the centre is being renovated and there are several changes in the team. Combining my knowledge and previous experience, renewed teams’ passion and ideas and ambitions of the centre owner, I am confident that Spice will maintain the best shopping experience while maintaining its leading position among shopping centres in Riga,” says Iveta Priedīte, new Managing Director of Spice and Spice Home.
This year is a year of change for Spice and Spice Home. An ambitious interior refurbishment project was launched at the beginning of the year and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. The Spice and Spice Home promenade will also be open soon, allowing visitors to move safely and conveniently between the shopping centres. In the near future, the Style Room will be opened, where visitors of Spice will be able to receive the services of stylists recognized in Latvia to create their unique and most suitable personal style.
