Solina’s new production complex reaches its full height

The new production complex for Solina, Europe’s leading manufacturer of seasoning mixes, which will be completed in Laagri this summer, has reached its full height, marking the end of one of the most important stages of its construction. The energy-efficient building was the first new real estate development in Estonia to qualify for the SEB Green loan.

Veiko Soome, head of Solina Estonia: “It is a great pleasure to note that despite the rather harsh and changeable winter, the construction work has proceeded according to plan and remains on schedule. The builders have done a good job, and now it is already possible to imagine what the end result will be.”

Holger Tilk, owner and manager of Kapitel Logistics added: “The topping out ceremony is a significant moment in the construction process, at which point we compile preliminary summaries and reports. I am sincerely glad that the friendly and solution-oriented cooperation between all parties has endured despite the technically complex building, and I am sure that the Solina example factory will be exemplary not only in terms of production technology but also in its construction technology.”

The new 15,000 sq m Class A energy-rated complex with solar park, located at Saue tee 15 within the Gate Tallinn Industrial Park in Laagri, Saue Parish, will house seasonings producer Solina’s offices, production unit, product development laboratory and warehouse. The total investment of the new Solina production complex amounts to 27 million euros, and 110 people will be employed on site every day. The new production building was the first new real estate development in Estonia to qualify for the SEB Green loan. The building will be developed by Kapitel and built by Eventus Ehitus in accordance with the requirements of the BREEAM In-Use green certificate rating of Very Good. Kapitel will lease the building to Solina for a 20-year term after its completion this summer.
