We cannot separate the business from the life around us. And we don’t want to. Kapitel has been a successful business venture and we thrive by investing in the community we are part of.
In 2019, we gave the fortified town wall and towers of Tallinn’s Old Town a contemporary lighting solution that shows off their magnificence in the dark winter months. The shadows and light seem to whisper us stories of life in Tallinn throughout the ages, highlighting their dignified form and unique details. This project is one of the largest investments of private capital made in Tallinn’s urban space.
Together with the Faculty of Architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts, we participated in a research project that explored the urban development visions and spatial scenarios of the future of Tallinn.
We enrich public urban spaces with works by local artists. In the Danish King’s Garden in Tallinn’s Old Town, two 2.5-metre bronze monk sculptures stand as references to the stories and legends associated with the historic courtyard.
Since the autumn of 2018, a 2.4-metre bronze sculpture titled “The Culture Wolf” has stood in front of Nordic Hotel Forum, located beside Viru Square in Tallinn. The wolf is the mascot of the PÖFF Black Nights Film Festival and has also been chosen as Estonia’s national animal.

We enhance our office buildings and their surroundings with contemporary art created by local artists.
Surrounding the Arter Quarter in central Tallinn is “Monumentaalne hüljatus” (“Monumental Neglect”), a sculpture series by renowned Estonian artist Flo Kasearu, dedicated to influential women in Estonian history. On the Liivalaia Street side of Arter, eight miniature equestrian monuments are displayed atop large boulders, while a large equestrian monument stands in the quarter’s courtyard.
We also showcase works by acclaimed Estonian artist Kaido Ole in the Arter and Delta Plaza office buildings in Tallinn, as well as in the Narbuto office building in Vilnius. In front of the Narbuto office building stands “Initial Thought”, a sculpture by the talented young Lithuanian sculptor Vytautas Viržbickas.
The interior of the Spice Shopping Centre in Riga features a collection of works by Latvian artists, creating a unique blend of art and commercial space.

Kõltsu Manor is located by the sand dunes of seaside Laulasmaa. A building from the pages of a fairytale, the natural surroundings, the sound of the sea and the wooden architecture with Swiss influences make it a special place unique among Estonian manors.
Many of the old details of the manor had survived and were successfully restored: doors, windows with beautiful wooden arches, glazed tile stoves and the timber panelled ceiling in the dining hall. Authentic parquet has been collected from the entire house for the main hall floor, which is adorned with a wind rose restored according to the original design. The garden smoothly blends with a forest park, where well-maintained paths and light arched bridges lead the walker directly to the beach.
We restored this late 19th-century manor house and park between 2007 and 2010 opened it for excursions, concerts and distinguished events.

The non-profit organisation Maria ja Lapsed (Maria and Children) offers therapy and a home for children left without parental care in the Lääne-Viru and Ida-Viru counties. We presented one family in the home the freedom of having their very own vehicle, so that the children and their foster parents could conveniently go about their daily business and enjoy outings together.
At the SOS Children's Village, children without parents are brought up in loving and caring homes. We helped to establish a family home at Kohtla-Järve.
